Muslim Radicalisation in Europe

Details: Speaker: Dr. Peter Neumann, King’s College London
Dr. Peter Neumann is the Director of the Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence. Dr. Neumann previously served as the Director of the Centre for Defence Studies at King's College London. He was Academic Director of the Club de Madrid's International Summit on Democracy, Terrorism and Security in 2005, and acted as senior advisor to the National Policy Forum on Terrorism, Security and America's Purpose in 2005. Dr. Neumann has authored several books, including Britain's Long War (2003), a comprehensive assessment of British strategy in the Northern Ireland conflict, and - most recently - The Strategy of Terrorism (2007). He has also been published in the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. Dr. Neumann holds an MA in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin and a PhD in War Studies from King's College London. Before becoming an academic, he worked as a radio journalist in Germany.
